KLES is leading research into improved data visualisation and certainty from wearables in healthcare. Working with the University of Liverpool an innovative software prototype has been created that provides greater accuracy in reading and interpreting data from clinical grade wearable devices. This means that clinicians will have more confidence in making treatment decisions once presented with reliable data that can be used alongside other standard clinical assessments.
KLES sponsored the “Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion in children: a practical approach” study day at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, UK in February 2018. This was a successful 1 day novel study day bringing together a range of professionals with invited speakers from UK and Canada as well as local talent.
KLES provides educational primers for solicitors, independent therapists and case managers on cerebral palsy and other forms of brain injury. Recent invited talk provided by Dr Ram Kumar includes “Introduction to Cerebral Palsy” for The Brain Injury Group in March 2019.
KLES is currently working on an innovative series of diagrams and visualisations of complex concepts in cerebral palsy and brain injury. Dr Ram Kumar has been working with Karla Rimaitis, a talented illustrator and educator, in developing modern illustrations in these areas.
